The sound is an address, not a sample

Every other synthesizer hands you a recording. Hit a key, capture audio, drag the waveform around. The artifact is the file. The file is the sound.

CoSynth inverts that. A patch is not audio — it is a coordinate into a deterministic engine. Same seed, same coordinate, same sound. Forever. Anywhere. Kilobytes.

That means you can put a tone in a tweet. Hand a track's bassline to a collaborator as five numbers. Re-edit it tomorrow at a different sample rate. Re-render it for picture lock without ever bouncing a stem.

The sound is an address. The address points into a living source that will play it back, exactly, on demand.
